RECEPTION/COMMENTARY: This apple cake tastes like a really good coffee cake! It has thinly sliced apples throughout the cinnamon cake base and then is topped by a sweet, oat-crunch streusel. The custard sauce poured over top makes each bite more moist and really compliments the apple cinnamon flavor. This delicious Irish dessert is a centuries old tradition and is commonly eaten around the holidays. I'd give it an 8/10. Erin go bragh! 🍀
