INSPIRATION: May is the month to honor those of Asian Pacific American heritage.
RECEPTION/COMMENTARY: Okay. Not gonna lie, this dessert looks very unappetizing...like a bowl full of lumpy mush with a questionable brown something drizzled on top. Well that mush is made up of light and fluffy coconut cream dumplings. And the brown something? It's sugar and coconut cream boiled together and then reduced into a caramel-colored coconut syrup. So easy and deceptively delicious! I could eat that coconut syrup by itself; and I don't really even like coconut all that much! So if you ARE a fan of coconut flavor, THIS is your dessert! We gave it an overall rating of 8/10. 🥥🌴
WOULD I MAKE IT AGAIN? Yupperoo! That coconut sauce is now famous in our house.
