SUNDAY DESSERT #77: S'more Cookie Bars
COUNTRY OF ORIGIN: America 🇺🇸
DIFFICULTY LEVEL: Easy
INSPIRATION: Ahhh...the s'more. A delightful campfire dessert that is a staple for any American 4th of July festivity. Why not try it in bar form? Happy Independence Day! 🎆 🇺🇸
RECEPTION/COMMENTARY: Ooey, gooey, cookie marshmallowy goodness. There's really not much to say except that this classic flavor combo wins again! Large chunks of broken graham cracker pieces, dark chocolate chips, and mini marshmallows get folded into a brown sugar dough base. Then it's baked in a casserole dish until golden to s'more heaven! And those marshmallows crisp and puff in the oven just like they would over a campfire creating that melted, gooey texture that most (if not all) Americans live for. Yuuuuummmmm!
These are phenomenal! Absolutely phenomenal. Sweet and creamy with a hint of crunch. And did I mention gooey? Definitely a solid 10/10 rating!
WOULD I MAKE IT AGAIN? Well it certainly lives up to it's name because I am definitely going to keep coming back for "s'more". An exponential YES and a two thumbs up recommendation for s'more lovers everywhere. ❤️🤍💙
