Sugar Cookies

SUNDAY DESSERT #41: Sugar Cookies

COUNTRY OF ORIGIN: America - in Pennsylvania, actually. 🇺🇸 (but the very first conception of a "sugared" cookie came from ancient world Persia)

DIFFICULTY LEVEL: Easy

INSPIRATION: I know it's kind of a boring, or rather classic, choice this week, but I love making sugar cookies with my daughter. Adding a fun mix of color for Autumn was absolutely necessary for today's weather and fall foliage. 😍🍂🍁

RECEPTION/COMMENTARY: Sugar cookies are my favorite cookie! I love them frosted, unfrosted, sprinkled, with sugared tops, or the crinkled old-fashioned kind. I will eat them here or there. I will eat them anywhere. I do like sugar cookies, Sam-I-Am. That doesn't rhyme at all...but you understand the love.

This particular recipe of cut-out sugar cookie is one of the best I've ever tried because it doesn't require dough chilling and the cookies are just fabulous to the taste and texture. Plus, it calls for both vanilla and almond extract. The marriage of these two flavors are heavenly! You know it's a really good sugar cookie when you don't need frosting on it to feel fully satisfied. It's always my go-to recipe whenever I'm in need of a good cookie fix, like today.

Not everyone likes sugar cookies, my husband being one of them, so my rating opinion is definitely biased. But it's a 10 for me. Any other sugar cookie lovers out there?

WOULD I MAKE IT AGAIN? Hmm. I think that's a hearty yes.
