SUNDAY DESSERT #18: Torta Caprese

INSPIRATION: Thank you to my good friend, Tami, for the suggestion, and our mutual love for all things almond flavored. 💕
RECEPTION/COMMENTARY: This is a very moist, chocolate-almond flavored cake. The secret to making it so moist is gently folding fluffy egg whites into the cake batter to lighten it. Because it's so moist inside, there's really no need for any icing other than a light dusting of powder sugar. I'm not a huge chocolate fan but the almond flavor is amazing so I gave this an 8/10. Jared IS a chocolate fan and he rated it a 9/10.
WOULD I MAKE IT AGAIN? Yeah! And Tami, I wish I lived closer to Logan so I could bring you and your family some slices. Thanks again for the idea!
